October 2025: The preliminary draft plan has been completed and is open for public review and comments (see home page).
September 2025: The preliminary draft plan has been completed and is in the review phase with business owners in the Downtown Area.
Summer 2024 - Summer 2025: The planning team worked closely with the Advisory and Technical Committees on the preliminary draft plan.
July 2024: The planning team has developed guiding principles for the plan and series of alternative concepts. These were presented at a Public Workshop at City Hall on July 31. The concepts are also available to view on this website.
Apr - May 2024: A public scoping meeting was held at City Hall in April to gather general feedback about the opportunities/challenges in the Downtown area. In May, a community survey was conducted to gather additional information from a wider audience within the resident community.
Mar 2024: The planning team analyzed existing conditions and prepared for upcoming public engagement opportunities.
Jan - Feb 2024: The planning team met with the Plan Advisory Committee, gathered data, and started analyzing existing conditions.
